A Good Manager. Gallup’s State of the American Manager report provides a great insight into the powerful impact managers have on a business’s bottom line. Here’s one interesting fact that popped out to me. When companies have the managers with the right skills, companies see a 48% increase in profitability, a 22% increase in productivity, a 17% increase in customers and a 19% decrease in turnover.
Engagement metrics and surveys don’t solve the problem of employee engagement, they simply provide information. It’s about what you do with this information, how you follow up, follow through and communicate with your team that will make the difference. Read the full piece.
